A fine art digital print made on an inkjet printer. They are archival quality and guaranteed not to fade or bleed for up to 100 years. It is the industry standard in galleries and museums across the world.
The fine art giclee prints are produced using ultra chrome pigment inks on a semi gloss lustre stock for a traditional photographic look.
Your printed work will be dry mounted to an archival 5mm foam board using an acid free film.
This process involves passing the artwork through a press and bonding it to a substrate ensuring that the print remains perfectly flat and ripple free for many years to come.
Frames are carefully hand assembled in Victoria using the finest quality materials. All timber is locally sourced from sustainable sources. Frames are made using Victorian Ash.
Prints are protected using a museum quality acrylic instead of glass to protect your print from damaging UV rays. It also has the added benefit of helping to keep weight down and prevent breakages.
All frames, apart from the small size, is in 'shadowbox' style where the print is set back from the Plexiglass for a very modern gallery look.
Frames are minimalist in design and humble in colours. Not intended to be part of the fast moving goods market, but to provide a quality product that will last a lifetime. Bold frames may be selling today, but neutral colour and simple design is timeless.
Frames are finished off with hanging wire.
Set sizes are offered as they are to be found to be the most popular covering a wide range of applications. They are also chosen to maximise materials usage and minimise cut off wastage which helps to keep the costs down and contributes to sustainability.
Four frame sizes are provided and intentionally chosen to maximise yield and reduce offset waste, whilst still fulfilling requirements for wide ranging use cases.
In a humble step, biodegradable bubblewrap and recycled cartons are used when packaging your product for delivery.
The frames are produced from locally sourced Victoria Ash, which has been certified by the Forest Stewardship Council. FSC certification provides the highest level of protection for rare and endangered forests and wildlife of any existing forest certification scheme and is the only system that mandates consultation with local Indigenous Peoples.
Prints are done to a 300 gsm 100% cotton rag, which is considered the most environmentally friendly of photographic paper as it uses no tree fibres, instead it is produced from a recycled by-product of the textile making industry. While the cotton industry itself has much to answer for, as this is a by-product, it is considered to have low environmental impact as no cotton is grown specifically to make the paper stock.
